Coal Buckets

Our impressive range of fireside coal buckets, Scuttle and coal and coke hods, are almost too good to use. With different styles spanning different eras, ornamentally, coal buckets, scuttles, and hods look delightful. However they are a most practical and almost essential addition to your fireplace. Suitable for storing both coke and coal, they look equally cosy, when piled high with fresh smelling logs and pinecones, and let’s remember for a moment the nuisance of having to return outside every half hour to bank up your fire again, in the wind and rain.

We have created some of our own modern designs, but we have also revived some old one, like the slipper bucket and the well known bonnet shaped scuttle. We are confident you will find a fireside coal scuttle, coal bucket, or hod that will be perfect for your home setting.

This smart, solid, polished brass Blenheim Coal Bucket is finished in an eye catching “hammered” effect finish. This “helmet” shaped scuttle has a discreet brass riveted loop handle, and is hand finished with an oven fired black satin interior. It is further enhanced by a polished Brass handle and hand finished ornate handle brooch. With its gently sloping front, this coal scuttle is perfect for reloading your real fire with coal or logs. Alternatively, it looks stunning in the hearth filled with fresh smelling pine cones adding an attractive focal point for your fireplace.

We have chosen to create the handle and ornate brooch in brightly polished brass, whilst the helmet shaped body and round plinth base is hand finished in oven fired black satin.
